The opportunity
At EY, the FAAS Team provides varying types of accounting and non-accounting services covering wide range of topics and experiences including (but not limited to):
-
GAAP conversions
-
complex accounting assessments
-
financial and non-financial reporting and consolidation
-
financial processes digitalization and/or optimization
-
internal controls assessment
-
audit remediation
We help clients address their financial and non-financial reporting challenges, robust financial data analytics and innovation, help clients build more sustainable and profitable enterprises, and work closely with other service lines across EY.
While being part of the FAAS department, our sector-focused team especially serves commercial and industrial companies.
Your key responsibilities
The services we provide to our clients, tailored to their needs, include the following:

Financial and non-financial reporting and consolidation
-
Continuous learning in relation to relevant accounting updates
-
Advise on the application of IFRS and Lux GAAP
-
Assist in the review of financial statements and disclosures
-
Support accounting policy development and implementation
-
Provide technical accounting support for transactions
-
Corporate governance, controls, and information technology
-
Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and regulatory reporting
-
Assist in audit readiness and remediation of control deficiencies
-
Leverage data analytics to improve reporting accuracy and insights
Digitalization of processes:
-
Assist with modernizing finance functions, optimizing processes, and implementing new systems or technologies,
-
Assess readiness for automation of accounting and reporting (sub-)activities,
-
Co-development and implementation of advanced data analytics
Skills and attributes for success
-
A university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
-
3 to 4 years of relevant work experience in an Audit/Consulting role in accounting advisory, or a transformation role in the industry, ideally in a commercial or industrial company.

A prior experience in at least 3 of these topics:
-
Financial planning & analysis
-
Internal controls,
-
Financial/regulatory reporting,
-
Accounting,
-
Financial closing and consolidation,
-
Transformation and/or optimization of financial processes,
-
Data analytics,
-
Project management
-
Fluency in English and French; additional languages like German, Italian or Spanish are an asset
-
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach, capable of solving complex problems independently
-
Experience with IFRS and/or Luxembourg accounting law
-
Experience in reviewing financial statements
-
Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and collaborate within a team
