The opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership role for someone driven to make an impact. As a Senior Manager, you will play a central part in growing our Technology Risk business, strengthening our market presence, and delivering high‑quality engagements that shape the trust and resilience agenda for Australia’s leading financial institutions.

You will combine strong commercial instincts with deep technology risk expertise, bringing energy and ambition to a practice that is investing heavily in AI‑enabled assurance, emerging technology risk, regulatory transformation and third‑party resilience. You will be backed by a strong team, committed Partners and national leadership support.

This position is based in Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of technology risk and assurance engagements for both audit and non‑audit clients, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

  • Oversee independent assessments, including regulatory compliance reviews and maturity assessments aligned to industry frameworks.

  • Lead the delivery of technology and cyber control assurance services such as GS007, ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements.

  • Advise clients on complex regulatory agendas, particularly APRA requirements including CPS 234 and CPS 230.

  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on managing risks associated with third‑party service providers.

  • Build and grow client relationships, identify market opportunities, and help expand the practice’s presence locally and nationally.

  • Coach, mentor and uplift team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high‑performing culture.

  • Contribute to shaping the future of the practice through innovation, thought leadership and continuous improvement.

  • Lead external audits of technology environments, including IT general controls and automated controls, while staying ahead of emerging risks such as cyber threats, AI and Cloud technologies.

Skills and attributes for success

  • 7+ years of experience in Technology Risk, Cyber assurance, Operational resilience, Technology audit, with a proven track record in assessing complex IT environments.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, or equivalent) that demonstrate your commitment to the field.

  • In-depth knowledge of IT regulations, risk management frameworks and Technology audit methodology.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant filed
