Our International Tax and Transaction Service (ITTS) group provides a wide range of tax services for clients within a variety of industries and helps clients identify and address complex domestic and international tax issues and assists them in strategically aligning different areas of taxation.
Responsibilities:

Provide a wide range of tax advisory services on international tax advisory engagements, tax structuring, cross-border/M&A transactions, and ad hoc projects
-
Address complex Hong Kong/China/ international corporate tax issues and assists clients in strategically aligning different areas of taxation. Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.

Help to build and maintain client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.

Develop and guide junior tax professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals.

Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations.

Build strong internal relationships within the ITTS and broader tax teams and across other services.

Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
-
Bachelor degree and ideally a Professional accountancy qualification (accounting or tax)
-
2 - 4 years of tax experience (including tax advisory) in a professional firm / Big 4 firm or as inhouse-tax advisor
-
Candidates with less experience will be considered as staff accountant
-
Team player with strong oral and writing communication skills
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
-
Experience working in international tax or on M&A transactions or cross-border transactions is preferred, but not essential
-
Fluent English (proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or any other foreign language is a plus)
