Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Copilot Studio Developer to join our team and lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade conversational AI solutions using

Microsoft Copilot Studio. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 8 years of experience, with a deep specialization in building intelligent copilot agents, integrating them with various Microsoft

services (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure), and enhancing business processes. This role requires a blend of strong development skills, conversational design expertise, and a passion

for leveraging the latest AI capabilities to create seamless and eƯective user experiences, while adhering to Responsible AI principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex virtual agents (copilots) using Microsoft Copilot Studio.

  • Develop custom actions and backend integrations using Power Automate and Azure

  • services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure Bot Service) to connect copilots to internal and external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases).

  • Implement advanced conversational design features, including natural language

  • understanding (NLU) optimization, topic creation, entity management, and adaptive card usage.

  • Design and implement Agentic AI workflows, including multi-agent orchestration and reasoning/decision engines, to handle complex, multi-step business processes autonomously.

  • Integrate copilots with various channels such as Teams, websites, mobile apps, and Dynamics 365.

  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and scalable conversational flows.

  • Monitor, test, and optimize copilot performance, analysing conversation transcripts to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance user satisfaction.

  • Manage the entire ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) for copilot solutions, utilizing tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ensure all AI solutions comply with Responsible AI principles, including data privacy, bias mitigation, and content filtering, utilizing tools like Microsoft Purview.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on Copilot Studio best practices, coding standards, and complex integrations.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed copilot solutions and integration points.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a minimum of 3+ years specializing in designing and developing conversational AI solutions.

  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents) and its integration capabilities within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

  • Strong experience developing Power Automate flows (cloud and desktop) for complex data retrieval and transaction processing within a copilot.

  • Advanced skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or C# for developing custom actions, Azure Functions, and integrating with web services (REST/SOAP).

  • Deep hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) features within Copilot Studio, including advanced prompt engineering, grounding with enterprise data (via Azure AI Search/Microsoft Graph), and managing response quality.

  • Solid understanding of Azure services relevant to bot development (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Bot Service, Azure OpenAI Service).

  • Experience with Dataverse and its integration with Copilot Studio and Power Automate.

  • Proven ability to manage application lifecycle using ALM tools (e.g., solution management in Power Platform, Azure DevOps/GitHub).

  • Strong understanding and application of AI Governance, including data retention

  • policies, security controls, and adherence to Microsoft's Responsible AI standards.

  • (Preferred) Microsoft Power Platform Developer and AI Engineer certifications.
