Oceania Brand and Strategic Programs Leader

The opportunity

As our Oceania Brand and Strategic Programs Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of EY’s brand across Oceania. This highly influential position combines modern marketing excellence with deep brand leadership to enhance EY’s reputation, elevate our share of voice, and drive distinctive engagement with internal and external audiences. Reporting to EY Oceania’s Brand, Marketing and Communications Leader, you will guide a team of experienced professionals across brand, marketing, creative and events, while leading transformative, insight‑led programs that amplify EY’s presence and impact.

This is a hybrid position based in Naarm – Melbourne or Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated, insight‑led brand strategies aligned to EY’s commercial priorities, strengthening market visibility, share of voice and reputation across Oceania.

  • Oversee creative direction and delivery of modern, multi‑channel brand, content and marketing campaigns—partnering with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistency, innovation and impact.

  • Provide strategic leadership of the Oceania sponsorship and events portfolio, ensuring alignment to brand objectives, maximising ROI and delivering distinctive client and internal experiences.

  • Provide inclusive, values‑led leadership that fosters empowerment, wellbeing, growth and high performance while driving excellence in planning, execution and delivery.

  • Play a senior leadership role within the BMC Leadership Team, co‑developing the integrated BMC strategy, driving cross‑team collaboration, and ensuring alignment to client lifecycle and firm priorities.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Partners and business leaders, building deep commercial understanding, and engaging effectively with Global BMC teams to influence initiatives, adapt global programs and advocate for Oceania priorities.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven brand expertise and a passion for building impactful internal and external brand programmes in complex, global, matrix environments.

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in B2B marketing, ideally within fast‑paced environments; agency experience and professional services exposure are highly regarded.

  • Demonstrated success in brand management, reputation management, and/or corporate communications.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving capability and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Experience leveraging client insights to develop brand marketing and communication programmes.

  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of empowering teams, managing complex workloads and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
