What role you will play in our team
The Senior IT Business Architect for Public & Government Affairs (P&GA) serves as the strategic technology partner to the organization responsible for public affairs, corporate communications, and brand marketing.
In this role, you will define and drive the technology strategy that supports how the company communicates, engages, and builds trust with key audiences including employees, communities, government stakeholders, and media organizations. This position is highly influential, requiring strong architectural leadership, deep understanding of communications and public affairs technologies, and the ability to develop productive relationships with business leaders and external vendors.
This role also requires strong knowledge of marketing and communications business processes such as campaign planning, content development workflows, digital publishing, analytics, and brand governance to ensure that technology solutions support how these teams operate across the full lifecycle.

What you will do

Serve as the primary technology advisor and architectural partner to P&GA communications and marketing business partners.

Serve as the subject-matter expert in Mar Tech capabilities, advising on tools related to campaign management, audience targeting, digital asset management (DAM), analytics, social media management, content publishing workflows, and brand governance.

Work directly with business partners in marketing and communications to optimize processes and ensure technology platforms support their end-to-end operational workflows.

Translate business objectives across corporate communications, media relations, marketing communications, and stakeholder engagement into scalable and secure IT solutions.

Develop, maintain, and refine a multi-year technology roadmap.

Evaluate emerging technologies including AI, analytics, automation, and digital engagement platforms, and recommend opportunities to enhance P&GA capabilities.

Ensure new solutions align with enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud strategies, and cybersecurity standards.

Partner with senior leaders across P&GA, IT, and related business functions to align strategies and ensure smooth integration of technology solutions.

Facilitate collaboration between corporate brand, marketing communications, media relations, external affairs, and corporate IT teams.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers supporting P&GA technologies.

Promote adoption of AI and data-driven insights within P&GA to enhance reputation management, stakeholder understanding, and communication effectiveness.

Guide the business in selecting and optimizing tools for communication, engagement, and content management.
About You
Skills and Qualifications
-
10+ years of experience in IT architecture, enterprise architecture, or digital technology strategy.
-
Demonstrated experience supporting functions such as public affairs, corporate communications, marketing, media relations, or external stakeholder engagement.
-
Strong expertise in cloud architecture and enterprise architecture frameworks.
-
Proven ability to develop technology roadmaps and influence senior business stakeholders.
-
Experience with CRM, DAM, social listening, collaboration, or digital engagement technologies.
-
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor partnership skills.
-
B.S. or equivalent work experience.
-
Working knowledge of marketing and communications processes including campaign planning, content operations, analytics, brand governance, and digital publishing.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience

Experience in large, global corporate environments.

Knowledge of AI, analytics, workflow automation, or digital experience platforms.

Background supporting public policy, government relations, or external stakeholder platforms

Experience working with or managing external agencies, consultants, or technology partners that support communications or public affairs functions.

Experience with Mar Tech ecosystems such as marketing automation, personalization, DAM, or digital experience platforms.

Familiarity with creative operations, web publishing, or studio and brand-governance technology tools.
