Introduction to the team:
Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction.
We're looking for a mid-level individual contributor to provide valuable analytics and decision support to drive Expedia's Content products. In this role, the candidate will partner with cross function teams to contribute to many aspects of product development, including understanding user behavior, A/B experimentation, and problem-solving using stats and causal inference techniques.
In this role, you will:

Work with multiple stakeholders, manage analytics projects, and operate within a community of analysts, sharing findings, wins and methodologies
-
Own end to end process in designing and running experiments(A/B tests); proactively analyze opportunities and recommend new feature to test
-
Implement quasi experimentation techniques to establish dollar impact for several product/ initiatives
-
Contribute to tracking measures of success and supporting metrics, build accurate and easy to consume dashboards/reports
-
Collaborate with the product teams in goal setting, product performance review and strategy planning
-
Structure problems, extract and analyze data, and present the findings to corporate leadership and internal stakeholders
-
Apply your knowledge with Python/ R, or any other major ML programming language to generate insights and solve business problems using ML
Experience and Qualifications:
-
3-5 years of experience in data mining, statistical modeling, experimentation, and business analysis with at least Bachelor's in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or related technical field or equivalent experience
-
Expertise working with large data sets and proficiency in SQL, Excel
-
Experience working with tableau or similar data visualization tool
-
Experience in performing statistical analysis, designing and interpreting A/B experiments, quasi-experimentation techniques
-
Intermediate proficiency in Python programming language
-
Able to build basic models (e.g., linear/logistic regression, clustering) and has understanding of the relevant assumptions
-
Experience in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a plus
-
Ability to present your findings and recommendations to senior leadership

Ability to work proactively, prioritize and lead through conflicting demands in a fluid environment
