Senior Account Manager (Sydney)
Introduction to team

Expedia Group B2B connects partners across the travel industry to our leading technology, supply, and services - helping them deliver seamless travel experiences to their customers. From airlines and hotels to financial institutions and other travel platforms, we power smarter, faster, and more impactful travel solutions through the most connected marketplace in the world.

As a Senior Account Manager in Expedia Group’s B2B team, you will own a portfolio of strategic partners across ANZ, including airlines, hotel groups, financial institutions, and online travel platforms. Your mission is to drive growth for both Expedia Group and our partners by maximizing the value of our technology, content, and supply.

In this role, you will:

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of existing and new B2B partners
  • Account ownership of partner relationships post-launch with clear profitability/revenue targets and the identification and development of incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Management of a mix of partners from multiple segment with clear profitability/revenue targets.
  • Build effective client relationships and lead complex commercial negotiations with Directors and C-suite levels.
  • Influence the decision making of both internal and external stakeholders through formal and informal negotiations / discussions
  • Travel regularly and meet partners face-to-face. Travel requirements are both domestic and international.
  • Provide ongoing input to senior management in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve process efficiencies.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably in online travel/commerce/retailing/portals
  • Strong understanding of hotel B2B distribution in APAC/ANZ
  • Strong relationship / communication skills; required as role is client facing, involving client contact in negotiation and in ongoing partner contact.
  • Previous experience in leading complex commercial negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and under deadline.
  • Extensive e-commerce experience and familiarity with e-commerce / e-marketing metrics and their management is highly desirable.
  • Understands financial indicators, manages budgets, and uses financial analysis to make strategic decisions and drive profitability.
  • Technical Project Management experience, a plus.
  • A good understanding of the internet technologies used in the travel industry, a plus
