Primary Purpose

Performs the functions necessary for the construction, maintenance and operation of low, medium and high-pressure gas distribution system in accordance with the gas construction standards using hand and power tools and the necessary equipment required to do the task. Mandatory assessments will be held on 6/15/26 thru 6/19/26 with a start date in 9/7/26. Please note there is no rain dates for hands on assessments. See further details below in primary duties, qualifications and job scope to ensure you understand all aspects of the job.

  • Positions will be located at various service buildings in the Bucks, Montgomery Delaware and Chester County Regions.
  • This position also requires participation in the local union and payment of union dues. Candidates only apply that can adhere to working the required schedule as described above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be clean shaven at the time of hire due to safety regulations.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have valid driver's license, meet Exelon's Driving criteria, and ability to meet and maintain the CDL requirements.
  • Respirator fit test qualifications and safe weight requirements maintained.
  • Ability to pass Aptitude test.
  • Must be able to respond to off hour/emergency calls.
  • Ability to pass all the medical examinations: Respirator, CDL and physicals.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work without supervision and/or with others.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations.
  • Able to work shift work.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $24.15/Hr.
