Use your experience in data science & analytics to advance Fortnite and cultivate an ecosystem where games of all kinds can thrive. The successful candidate will possess exceptional technical capabilities, a strong aptitude for product strategy, and a deep understanding of live service ecosystems.
This Senior Data Scientist will partner closely with the Fortnite Ecosystem Growth team to drive strategy and evaluate initiatives across the Developer Economy, IP Development, Creator Relations, and Genre Campaigns. • Transform raw data into data models, production metrics, scaled reporting, and insights to improve user experience and engagement.

  • Work closely with product, marketing, business, and technology teams to ensure the seamless execution of initiatives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on goals and priorities, and facilitate collaboration across departments with clear communication.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of industry or relevant experience, with a good understanding of live service video games

  • Strong product intuition and ability to shape strategy for a complex ecosystem

  • Demonstrated background in influencing products by applying data and measurement to drive alignment

  • Experience in data visualization (Tableau or similar)

  • Experience with experimental design and a variety of causal inference methods

  • Experience working with development teams to instrument data and ensure continued data quality

  • Experience writing efficient and scalable SQL over billions of rows; it is a plus if you are familiar with distributed computing using Spark (Scala or Py Spark)

  • Familiarity with supporting technical componentry, including code version control (Github), orchestration (Airflow or similar)

  • Advanced statistical training and a thorough understanding of the associated strengths and weaknesses of different statistical approaches is a plus

  • Passion for games, analytics, and content discovery platforms
