Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger (GL) Accounting

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all transactions in the General Ledger, including revenue, expenses, payroll, and taxes; review accounting treatment for new transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries.
  • Manage and maintain account codes (Chart of Accounts).

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Support D365 US-GAAP reporting (planned in future).
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports to management and headquarters.
  • Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis.

Account Reconciliation & Analysis:

  • Perform Balance reconciliations for key accounts such as cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, depreciation and etc.
  • Identify discrepancies or unusual items and perform necessary journal adjustments.
  • Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, Tax, and other related departments.

4.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Conduct internal control (SOX) testing.
  • Maintain documentation for external audit readiness.

5. Corporate Income Tax & Local Corporate Tax

  • Prepare documentation for corporate tax filing in collaboration with tax advisors and manage the overall reporting process.
  • Prepare and submit US tax quarterly/annual reports.
  • Support future implementation of deferred tax accounting as the company grows.
  • Review VAT filings and related documentation.
  • Manage non-employee withholding taxes and monitor payroll-related withholding balances.
  • Manage various local tax filings and related requirements.

6. Transfer Pricing

  • Review new intercompany transaction types and help establish processes.
  • Review and prepare intercompany transaction documentation and reports.
  • Manage annual and mid-year transfer pricing adjustment reports.
  • Support Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Master/Local files as the company expands.

7. Other Responsibilities

  • Review and submit data for national statistics reporting.
  • Handle subcontracting transaction filings (both contractor and subcontractor basis).
  • Review and process journal entries related to ESPP and RSU programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of K-GAAP and US-GAAP principles.
  • Experience with K-System and D365 (implementation experience is a plus).
  • Strong command of advanced Excel functions.
  • Ability to validate numerical data, identify errors, and ensure data integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate with headquarters (including English reporting) and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with corporate tax filings and transfer pricing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit management
  • Strong knowledge of K-GAAP and general accounting principles; experience with U.S. GAAP.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting processes and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
  • Experience working with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement scalable accounting systems or controls
  • Proficiency with ERP systems for KSystem and D365 and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a high level of integrity
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities
