Job Summary:

We are seeking a Reliability Test Technician who will perform hands-on test operations in the QT Lab, including sample preparation, equipment setup, test execution, and data recording. As the company expands its new product development (NPI) projects and installs new reliability test equipment, this role is essential for ensuring stable and efficient laboratory operations.

The technician will work closely with engineers and follow established test procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all reliability tests are performed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This is a field-oriented position that requires attention to detail, responsibility, and strong adherence to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

■ Reliability Test Operations (Hands-on Operation)

  • Perform tests using environmental chambers, vibration systems, pressure/force testers, and other reliability equipment
  • Prepare test setups (sample loading, fixture installation, setting input parameters)
  • Monitor test conditions during operation and report abnormalities to engineers

■ Test Recording & Data Management

  • Record test conditions, start/end times, and trial logs
  • Enter test data into lab systems or spreadsheets
  • Manage samples (labeling, storage, post-test handling)

■ Equipment Management & Safety Compliance

  • Perform daily/weekly equipment checks
  • Support calibration and maintenance scheduling
  • Follow safety guidelines and report potential hazards

■ Reliability Equipment Setup & Improvement Support

  • Assist with installation and configuration of new equipment
  • Support fixture replacement, component assembly, and test setup improvements

■ Engineering Support

  • Organize test data and assist engineers with assigned tasks
  • Provide field feedback during procedure revisions

Basic Qualifications:

■ Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience (experience with electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment preferred)
  • Experience in a manufacturing lab or equipment operation is a plus

■ Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to operate equipment and perform hands-on field tasks
  • Accuracy in performing repetitive tasks based on SOPs
  • Basic MS Excel data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts

■ Traits & Work Attitude

  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate and report abnormalities promptly
  • Interest in equipment-based tasks and willingness to learn

Additional/Preferred Skills

■ Experience / Knowledge

  • Experience with environmental or reliability testing
  • Experience testing battery or electronic products
  • Basic tool-handling skills (fixture assembly, simple mechanical tasks)

■ Certifications

  • Technical certifications related to electrical, electronics, or mechanical fields preferred
