We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our payment gateway development team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on AWS, with additional exposure to Azure and GCP environments. The candidate should be proficient in cloud networking, container orchestration, data services, and have a strong understanding of event-driven and microservices architectures. Hands-on experience in Kong API Gateway and Java-based solutions is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Implementation

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures on AWS.

• Architect and deploy multi-account, multi-region AWS environments using best practices.

• Implement and manage AWS networking services— including VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53, and Network Load Balancers.

• Set up and optimize ECS, EKS clusters for containerized microservices.

• Configure and manage AWS data services such as RDS, DynamoDB, Glue, S3, and Sage Maker for analytics and AI workloads.

• Work with AWS Bedrock and other AI/ML services for intelligent automation and model deployment.

API & Event-driven Architecture

• Design and maintain Kong API Gateway for secure, scalable API management.

• Implement event-driven architectures using SNS, SQS, Event Bridge, Lambda, and Kafka (if applicable).

• Ensure efficient communication and integration across microservices.

Dev

Ops & Automation:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline.

• Manage **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

Security & Compliance

• Apply best practices for security, identity management (IAM), encryption, and compliance (PCI DSS) for payment systems.

• Ensure adherence to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Cross-Cloud Exposure

• Collaborate with teams working on Azure and GCP to ensure interoperability and hybrid-cloud designs.

• Evaluate and integrate services across multiple cloud platforms when required.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with solution architects, backend developers, and data engineers.

• Contribute to architecture design reviews and technical documentation.

• Mentor junior cloud engineers and participate in code and infrastructure reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.

• Deep expertise in AWS Networking, Transit Gateway, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, Glue, Sage Maker, and Bedrock.

• Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and microservices.

• Proficiency in Kong API Gateway implementation and management.

• Solid understanding of Java (Spring Boot / microservices).

• Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with CI/CD tools,Terraform, and CloudFormation.

• Excellent knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security best practices.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).

• Experience in payment or fintech domain (PCI DSS, secure transaction systems).

• Familiarity with AI/ML workloads in AWS (Sage Maker, Bedrock).

• Knowledge of container security and zero-trust network principles.
