The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of software engineers related to platform integration, ensuring the successful delivery of software products and providing hands-on support in achieving successful work outcomes in collaboration with international members of the team. They play a critical role in team management, project planning, and technical guidance, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage a team of platform engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and productivity.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and business leaders, to define project goals, scope, and priorities.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Oversee code reviews, quality assurance processes, and best practices adherence.

  • Address and resolve project-related issues, risks, and escalations.

  • Provide regular project status updates to upper management and stakeholders.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions about technology adoption within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.

  • Agile and waterfall project delivery is an asset.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of object-oriented design/development required, Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment. Should have led a team of developers/ Sr platform engineers and Leads (8 to 10) working on the below technologies:

Informatica: IDMC – CDC, ETL,

  • Databricks

  • Microsoft Azure data products (ADF, Fabric, other)

  • PowerBI

  • Docker, Istio, Kubernetes, Tetrate Service Bridge container hosting platforms

  • Terraform

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Identifies and participates in implementing improvements to products or processes; demonstrates strong work ethic and personal accountability

  • Builds collaborative and cooperative relationships; balances customer needs with the best interests of the company; effectively manages conflict

  • Adjusts to changing events and priorities; displays a positive approach; focuses energy on determining possibilities.
