The Senior Director, Paid Performance Channels oversees paid performance marketing strategy and execution supporting growth for Empower Personal Wealth (EPW). This role leads a team of paid channel managers responsible for driving efficient customer acquisition and lifecycle performance across a diverse portfolio of paid media channels. Reporting to the Vice President, Growth Marketing & Strategy, the role operates within a hybrid in-house and agency-supported model. Performance Marketing at Empower follows a center-of-excellence approach, partnering closely with Growth and Lifecycle Marketing teams aligned to customer segments. The role brings a forward-thinking, data-driven perspective on targeting, attribution, and measurement across complex funnels that blend digital and human-led sales models, supporting investment solutions ranging from self-directed to high-net-worth advisory offerings.
What you will do:
- Lead paid performance media strategy and execution across acquisition and lifecycle marketing channels.
- Partner with Growth and Lifecycle Marketing teams to test paid media channels in support of growth experiments.
- Identify and scale high-performing initiatives into evergreen programs that deliver sustainable growth.
- Own delivery, optimization, and capability roadmaps across all paid performance channels, grounded in CAC, ROI, and incrementality KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, brand, content, owned channel, analytics, and marketing teams to execute integrated campaigns.
- Evaluate emerging media tactics, platforms, and technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
- Balance performance optimization with brand integrity and client experience considerations.
- Contribute to cross-channel attribution, measurement, and forecasting models to support long-term budget planning.
- Educate internal stakeholders on paid media capabilities, results, and strategic value.
- Manage the Consumer Marketing budget, including direct media spend and indirect vendor and agency costs.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS).
- 8–10 years of experience managing and scaling multi-million-dollar performance marketing programs across Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic Display and Video, Affiliates and Partner Channels, Paid App Install, and Direct Mail.
- Experience using paid media to support lead generation, customer acquisition, and lifecycle programs.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing marketing teams.
- Experience managing third-party media and agency relationships.
- Experience evolving attribution and measurement frameworks.
- Executive presence and ability to present to senior leadership.
- Financial services or Fin Tech experience strongly preferred.

Base Salary Range
$138,000.00 - $200,100.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
