If you are an Electrical Design Engineer student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pearland, TX location, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of industry-leading measurement & analytical instrumentation. This hands-on role offers exposure to real-world engineering challenges and the chance to contribute to innovative solutions that serve global industries.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, software, and systems engineers—to support the design and development of Emerson’s Automation Solutions products from concept through production.

  • Utilize industry-standard electrical design tools to capture circuit schematics and perform simulations to ensure design integrity and performance

  • Perform a variety of electronic testing using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators to validate and troubleshoot designs.

  • Research and develop new ideas, tools, and technologies that contribute to product innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Evaluate Emerson systems and electronic circuits at both the functional block and component level to gain a deeper understanding of system architecture and performance.

  • Assist in properly documenting quality-controlled criteria associated with the maintenance of Approval Certification and ISO compliance.

  • Support engineering in launching a properly branded product, transforming legacy requirements to Emerson standards.

You take personal responsibility for decisions and actions and are willing to take feedback. You communicate effectively in various settings (e.g. one-on-one, groups, and written).

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Pursuing bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of applicable experience
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
