SUMMARY OF ROLE:
You will manage the operational procurement process for multiple suppliers. Your focus is on strategical and tactical procurement support, execution, and timely availability of required materials within boundary conditions. Request for Quotations and defining order quantities to secure given Budget are also part of your responsibility.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Creates and modify purchase orders in accordance with established policies and procedures. (Purchase orders are issued based on the requirements of customer orders, and ERP demand, with consideration of inventory, safety stock levels, and lead times)
- Ensures timely placement and management of Direct Purchase orders with selected vendors
- Confers with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules
- Reviews bid proposals and within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
- Contacts suppliers with discrepancies of quantity and quality, enforcing Emerson’s PO terms and conditions as applicable
- Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary
- Acts as a liaison between assigned suppliers and internal departments involved to resolve procurement-related problems
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing other job-related tasks as needed and enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives
- Review open PO reports, check order status, modify quantities or due dates
- Contribute to the Strategic Sourcing, Procurement mission and vision in line with Global Supply Chain guidance
- Maintenance of ERP Data e.g., Info records, replenishment time, order acknowledgement
Supplier Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Communicate efficiently

For This Role, You Will Need:
- College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred, technical and business oriented
- Team player with strong communication skills in English is essential
- Good time management, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Has commercial awareness and good judgement
- Result driven and analytically minded
- Strong user skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI)
- You are motivated to develop yourself
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- German knowledge is an advantage
- SAP MM package knowledge
- Mechanical knowledge/degree
