As Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete hardware scope of assigned projects, including design, specification analysis, and system start-up through to delivery. You manage project budgets, hardware bills of materials, and schedules while ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with customer requirements. Experienced in coordinating subcontractors and preparing technical documentation, you ensure smooth execution across all project phases. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Take full responsibility for all hardware-related activities within assigned projects.

• Manage and control the project budget concerning the hardware Bill of Materials.

• Serve as the main contact for hardware-related communication and coordination with customers.

• Organize and document technical meetings, track open hardware issues, and regularly update customers on progress.

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor hardware activities, including those performed by subcontractors.

• Ensure order details, RFQs, and buy-outs are accurate and aligned with customer requirements and factory capabilities.

• Support sales through technical feasibility studies and customer presentations during the quotation phase.

• Execute technical tasks (design, specification analysis, system start-up), maintain project documentation, report progress, and perform additional duties as needed under Emerson standards.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience

• Good understanding and knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), instruments and other hardware related topics

• Background in a similar function for at least three years, combined with a minimum of five years’ experience as a project engineer

• Ability to define hardware budgets and identify the best performance-to-price solutions for both the company and the customer

• Proficiency in English and Dutch language

• Availability to travel to customer sites as needed

• Ability to work within a complex matrix organization and collaborate across business units

• French language skills

• Experience within Automation / Process / Instrumentation Industry and Emerson’s signature DCS system
