As a Software Developer Intern supporting PSS Technology Manila’s DeltaV Software Development group, you will gain hands-on experience developing innovative tools, exploring emerging technologies, and contributing to software components across the full stack. You will participate in real-world engineering projects—from prototyping utilities and experimenting with new architectures to building libraries, APIs, and user-facing features. Emerson interns receive meaningful work, dedicated support, and mentorship from experienced leaders, making this an ideal opportunity to strengthen your engineering skills, learn modern development practices, and make a direct impact.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Designing and developing developer-focused tools that improve productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance collaboration.
  • Exploring and evaluating emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI‑powered solutions that modernize the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Prototyping and implementing utilities for code analysis, requirement validation, and workflow automation using AI and modern engineering approaches.
  • Researching and experimenting with new software design patterns, architectures, and best practices that support scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of libraries, APIs, and user-facing features across different layers of the software stack.
  • Collaborating with developers to address real-world engineering challenges and participating in design discussions, code reviews, and technical explorations.

Who You Are:

You learn quickly when facing new situations and actively seek opportunities to grow your skills. You approach problems with creativity and resourcefulness, finding effective ways to overcome obstacles. You leverage technology to improve outcomes and enjoy experimenting with new tools and approaches. You work well with others, build strong relationships, and contribute positively to group discussions and shared goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 480 hours; both required and voluntary interns are welcome.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence concepts through coursework, academic research, or project experience.
  • Basic programming skills in Python or C#, along with familiarity in Git and foundational software development coursework.
  • Strong interest in AI, systems engineering, and modern software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience working with REST APIs or JSON processing using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Exposure to modern web frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
