Emerson Enterprise IT offers standardized managed Services Emerson for locations in the Global/Remote Data Centers, Multi Cloud and On-Premise locations. This operational role is key within Hosting and Compute team that is responsible for managing Virtualization, Linux, Windows, Data Protection and Storage. You will work with limited supervision from the Hosting and Compute management and team, operating both independently and collaboratively with team members to respond to service requests, incidents, problems, and change requests.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Maintain an operational understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g. Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V), storage, data protection, Windows operating systems and roles (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, WSUS), Linux/Unix environments, and cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS, Alibaba, etc.)
• Perform functional troubleshooting across all of the above technologies
• Support and manage enterprise-level environments in both pure cloud and hybrid setups
• Demonstrate basic networking knowledge, including routing and switching technologies
• Apply an understanding of load balancing and firewall concepts
• Ensure proper data backup configuration and monitoring, including on-demand and test restores, with tape management where applicable
• Work with users to troubleshoot and resolve advanced operational issues
• Assist with vendors and data centre technicians to install, troubleshoot, or replace hardware as required
• Participate in maintenance activities outside of normal business hours, following established standards and procedures
• Apply defined security and compliance policies, software updates, and patches, and regularly verify that enforcement mechanisms are correctly implemented

You work well independently and are comfortable collaborating with teams across different locations and functions. You are motivated to learn, open to developing new skills, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Associate degree in computer science or related technology/engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience required (2+ years)

• Operational understanding Virtualization (e.g. Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V), Storage, Data Protection, Windows OS and roles e.g. (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, WSUS) , Linux/Unix environments and Cloud technologies (OCI, Azure, AWS, Alibaba, etc.). Citrix

• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Good Knowledge of scripting languages and techniques
• Could certifications for Azure, OCI, AWS desired - preferred
