Role Overview
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing strategic accounts within pharmacy chains/distributors and emerging channels. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and flawless execution, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with assigned pharmacy chain accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within pharmacy chains.
- Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring win-win outcomes aligned with Lilly’s business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and account performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Market Access, and Medical teams.
- Ensure excellence in execution of commercial strategies at account level.
- Monitor KPIs, forecast sales, and manage budgets for assigned accounts.
- Act as the main point of contact between Lilly and assigned key accounts.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the pharmaceutical OTC or CPG industries.
- Proven experience managing pharmacy chains/retail accounts.
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with high execution and negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience in Joint Business Plan (JBP) implementation.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish.
Preferred / Ideal Profile
- Experience working in a multinational pharmaceutical company.
- Strong business acumen and financial understanding (P&L, ROI, trade investment).
- Ability to manage complexity and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented, self-driven, and highly accountable.
- Collaborative mindset with strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
