Overview:

The Partnership Strategy & Accounting Area within the Finance Division collaborates across the firm to design and deliver partnership models which support the firm's goal to be the premiere destination for financial advisors to start, grow, optimize and pass on a practice. The team closely partners with financial advisors, outside advisors and other firm stakeholders to build projections, draft educational materials, and meet with partners.

The Strategy Analyst III is responsible for building compensation models, analysis of the various partner affiliation models and meeting with Financial Advisors (FAs) to help share those insights. They will build user-facing modeling tools and resources that will aid Financial Advisors in making business decisions based on the economic projections of the various modeling tools. In addition they may also be part of projects with our digital product teams to develop new affiliation models, practice valuation models and compensation modeling tools.
What you'll do:

  • Creates compensation modeling tools and resources as well as analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights. Includes advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling responsibility
  • Frequent verbal, visual & written presentation of modeling and analysis to partner Financial Advisors.
  • Collaborate with others as the partnership subject matter expert (SME) to conceptualize and recommend solutions for enabling firm policies and strategies
  • Collaborate with Product Teams in the design, development, and implementation of enablement and educational solutions
  • Champion the innovation and evolution of existing processes, controls, and tools in order to meet the changing needs and increasing complexity of the organization
  • Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science, or analytics (or relevant work experience).
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and independently adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to translate business strategy into business requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required including working ability to utilize pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and financial statements (CPA license, a plus)
  • Ability to summarize financial information and concepts and clearly communicate to senior leadership
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the senior leader level using verbal, written, and presentation skills

What could set you apart:

  • Working understanding of agile product management is a plus
  • A proficiency in using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI/ Power Query is a plus

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
