About the role & team

Joining the e Bay Fashion team as a Trading Manager means playing a critical role in shaping how customers discover, shop, and engage with Fashion on e Bay. You’ll be at the centre of driving category performance, turning insight into action through trading plans, promotions, and buyer activations that deliver measurable growth. Working across local and global teams, you’ll help accelerate innovation, unlock new opportunities, and raise the bar for the Fashion experience. If you’re motivated by impact, thrive on complexity, and enjoy translating strategy into results, this is the role for you.

What you will accomplish

Promotional planning & execution

  • Support the planning and delivery of promotional activities to drive sales and increase category visibility, including seasonal events, payday, and peak moments.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and optimize promotional campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Build, maintain, and complete trade trackers that translate the trade plan into clear, operational activities and handoffs.
  • Support Account Managers in driving seller adoption of category trading initiatives, such as seller-funded coupons and event participation.

Reporting & analysis

  • Produce and maintain weekly business review templates and provide analysis at total-category and initiative levels.
  • Build and update reporting templates for buyer programs, surfacing trends and actionable insights.
  • Work with Data/Analytics to ensure robust measurement and translate results into recommendations for optimization.

Buyer activations & merchandising

  • Provide category assistance for merchandising and buyer activations, offering valuable feedback to improve assortment, product presentation, and conversion.
  • Support Trading Managers/Leads in planning and accomplishing consumer-facing buyer events, ensuring alignment with awareness and conversion goals.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on brand, incentive, and awareness levers to amplify trading activity and deliver impact.

What you will bring

  • 3 years’ experience in category/trade management, e-commerce, or retail trading roles.
  • Strong commercial approach with a proven track record of supporting and promoting promotional activities that drive GMV and conversion.
  • Excellent analytical skills — comfortable crafting and using reporting templates and confident with Excel; experience with BI tools (Looker/Tableau) or SQL is a plus.
  • Background in merchandising or event planning for consumer audiences.
  • Familiarity with buyer programs (CSAT), coupon mechanics, and seller-funded incentive models.
  • Proven ability to translate trading strategy into operational plans and trackers.
  • Strong collaborator management and communication skills — able to work across multiple functions and influence without authority.
  • Experience with marketplace dynamics, seller engagement, or e Bay platforms (e.g., e Bay Live, RaaS).
