About the Role and Team

As the leading Collectibles marketplace in the world, our mission is to be the most loved destination for collectors of Arts and antiques, trading cards, memorabilia, toys, comics, coins, and more. To accomplish this, we put our collectors first and innovate diligently to optimize experiences across our platform.

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Collectibles Category Manager to cover 12-month parental leave cover to drive growth and innovation across e Bay’s Collectibles categories with a focus on Arts and Antiques. You will own the category’s vision and execution, working cross-functionally to develop the buyer and seller journey, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen e Bay’s leadership in Collectibles.

What You Will Accomplish

• Drive strategy development, execution, and continuous optimization for the Collectibles category, with a focus on Arts and Antiques.

• Lead and deliver high-impact strategic projects within your category, with a particular focus on e Bay Live - driving launch, adoption, and performance ​

• Assess the French competitive landscape, market trends, and e Bay’s internal data to identify supply and demand challenges, uncover opportunities, and define actionable plans.

• Collaborate with global and local teams on seller acquisition and account management, inventory expansion, tailored marketing initiatives, as well as trust-building measures to deliver a seamless buyer/seller experience.

• Develop strategic relationships with industry players to improve services and offerings for Collectibles buyers and sellers.

• Strengthen e Bay’s presence within the collector community and across social and digital channels.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on key category metrics to measure success, inform decisions, and guide future initiatives.

What You Will Bring

• Demonstrated ability in category management, strategy, e-commerce, consulting, retail, or consumer tech.

• Strong expertise in the Arts and Antiques industry.

• First-hand experience buying or selling on e Bay or competitor platforms.

• Shown success in running complex projects and driving business growth.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

• Data-driven approach with strong analytical and reporting skills

• Creative problem-solver and self-starter, comfortable working independently and cross-functionally.

• Proficient in both French and English (oral and written).
