Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

e Bay Motors is a multi-billion dollar, global portfolio comprising the Parts & Accessories (P&A), Business & Industrial, Vehicles, and WHI (a B2B Parts & Accessories marketplace in US) businesses. These categories are not only among the largest on e Bay and core to e Bay’s strategic future but also are actively innovating in the market and at e Bay.

The Director, UK P&A, will report to and partner closely with the GM, Europe Parts & Accessories, to deliver the category strategy and plan for e Bay’s P&A business in the UK. This individual will directly lead the UK P&A team, owning the most critical initiatives in the UK business through solid-line, dotted-line, and horizontal/matrix leadership.

As a senior leader within the team, the role demands a dual mentality: both that of a strategic leader—who has a deep understanding of the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces, can break down tough problems into clear frameworks, operate in ambiguity, and possesses strong data intuition—as well as someone who can move quickly and decisively as an embedded operator not afraid to get their hands dirty. Broad functional skills with demonstrated success in multidisciplinary leadership including marketing, product, and operations is a must-have.

What you will accomplish...

Business

  • Drive GMV/GMB expansion for the UK Parts & Accessories (P&A) business
  • Partner with the global and EU leadership team to set strategy, identify, and complete opportunities for the UK P&A business
  • Deliver the most abundant catalogue of P&A inventory (every part for every vehicle)
  • Deliver outstanding end-to-end customer experience for Parts & Accessories

Customer

  • Continue growing Customer Happiness by addressing inventory gaps, pricing, and trust gaps in P&A
  • Draw in and keep buyers and sellers, focusing primarily on the sell-side of the marketplace
  • Build strong connections with e Bay’s leading P&A sellers, collaborate with a select group of these sellers to drive significant growth in their businesses on e Bay

Team

  • Build a strong team to achieve excellence, focusing on developing a group that can collaborate with large P&A sellers to drive market-leading growth
  • Act as a servant leader and role model for the team, demonstrating leadership aligned with e Bay’s culture and values
  • Work closely with e Bay’s UK country General Manager and their team to combine the group and UK P&A operating plan into the broader UK country strategy.

What you will bring...

  • Excellent decision-making skills with an interest in identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives
  • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information where you may have ambiguity and need to use data to meet deliverables and drive initiatives to completion within specified timelines
  • Prior experience successfully leading and encouraging diverse teams
  • Establishing relationships with key industry players and partners
  • Experienced at influencing & negotiating. Action-focused, growth-oriented, customer-centric ownership approach to drive performance against critical metrics
  • Insight and curiosity into digital automotive sector
  • Experienced people leader building and developing teams
  • Demonstrated strategist with a history of achieving impactful results on a large scale
  • E-Commerce experience in both C2C and B2C commerce ideal
  • Strong ability to manage through influence in a matrix organization
  • Currently operating at Director level with a wealth of experience in commercial roles
  • A passion for e Bay
  • Having direct experience in the automotive or parts sector is advantageous but not essential. A proven history of engaging with customer groups or industries is more valuable, combined with eagerness and passion to thoroughly explore the UK parts and automotive environment.
