It’s transforming how we enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and unlock new possibilities. Our teams are energized by innovation and readily embrace emerging technology. We’re not waiting for the future to arrive. We’re shaping it, one bold step at a time. To those who see AI as a driver of progress, come build the future together.

The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll redefine how software gets built at Draft Kings. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the development of AI-powered systems that elevate productivity and streamline the developer experience for more than 2,000 engineers. You’ll design intelligent tooling, optimize workflows, and deliver seamless integrations that remove friction from every stage of the software development lifecycle. Your work will blend deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, shaping the future of our internal platforms and mentoring engineers across the company.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement AI-driven tools and services that enhance engineering workflows, including code generation, test automation, documentation, and knowledge discovery.

  • Build intelligent automation into the SDLC through integrations with CI/CD systems, IDEs, code review tools, and other developer platforms.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess their impact across teams.

  • Advocate for best practices in AI-assisted development, and provide enablement resources to accelerate internal adoption.

  • Mentor engineers on AI usage, software architecture, and automation techniques to elevate team-wide capabilities.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in backend development using object-oriented languages like C# or Java, with deep knowledge of system design and engineering best practices.

  • Strong experience building developer-facing tools or working on internal platforms focused on productivity and workflow improvement.

  • Hands-on experience integrating AI into software engineering tasks—such as using LLMs for code assistance, automated documentation, or intelligent testing.

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools, cloud-native environments, and developer infrastructure.

  • A passion for scaling developer efficiency through smart automation and intuitive design.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor engineers through design, implementation, and optimization.
