Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.
About the Role:
Reporting into the Senior Director of Product, Integration Feeds & APIs, the Principal Product Manager for Platform & Integration Products needs to blend advanced strategic thinking and technical fluency to focus on corporate standards, compliance, and developer experience. This is a critical, individual contributor role which will drive the strategy and execution across Dow Jones APIs and ensure a cohesiveness with Dow Jones feed offerings. The Integration Feeds & API team works across all Dow Jones customer-facing integration products both consumer and B2B, with the largest volume of offerings supporting the Dow Jones B2B business lines.
You Will:
-
Drive the product vision & roadmap for Dow Jones wide adoption of an API Governance Framework, working closely with the engineering team leaders. You will be a champion of cohesiveness in standards between Dow Jones Feed and API offerings.
-
Foster an "API-as-a-Product" mindset and a culture of consistency, quality, and developer-centricity across all development teams.
-
Treat APIs as reusable building blocks or a "platform" that unlocks capability for internal and external developers, rather than just point-to-point integration projects.

-
Partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including Brand Triads, to co-design scalable solutions, deeply understand client needs, and ensure seamless integration and adoption.

You Have:
-
10+ years in Product Management, with a proven record leading enterprise-scale API and integration products, ideally in regulated industries.
-
Ability to define and evangelize a compelling long-term vision for the organization's entire API landscape, not just a single product, maximizing business impact
-
A strong technical understanding of API architectures (REST, GraphQL, Event-Driven), platform technologies (API Gateways, Developer Portals), and microservices. You can debate trade-offs with architects and engineering leads.
-
Proficiency in creating, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive API governance policies (e.g., naming conventions, versioning, error handling, lifecycle management)
-
Expertise in defining and managing the entire API lifecycle, from initial design and specification (using tools like Swagger/Postman) to deprecation and retirement.
-
Data-driven approach to prioritization and resource allocation, comfortable leading through ambiguity and complexity.
-
Strong executive-level influence and collaboration skills, guiding roadmap and architectural decisions across portfolios.
-
Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
