Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the Shift: Lead the team during rush hours, assigning tasks and keeping energy high.
  • Cost Control: Manage inventory, cash, and labor to keep the store profitable.
  • Team Building: Train and coach drivers and insiders to meet service standards.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer concerns with professionalism and fix problems on the spot.
  • Operations: Ensure the store is clean, safe, and fully stocked for the next shift.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous leadership or food service experience is a plus (but we will train the right attitude).
  • Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and closing shifts.
  • Reliability: You are the example. Punctuality and professional conduct are non-negotiable.
  • Math Skills: Ability to count cash and manage basic inventory calculations.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Detailed Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

Physical Demands

Team members must be able to stand for long periods and walk on various surfaces (tile, linoleum). Listing and carrying requirements include:

  • Lifting: Unloading supplies up to50 lbs and stacking them on shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Moving ingredients (up to 30 lbs) and dough trays (approx. 12 lbs) over short distances.
  • Movement: Occasional climbing (ladders/stairs) and pushing/pulling dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
  • Dexterity: Motor coordination to rapidly perform precise movements with hands/fingers (typing, pizza making).

Working Conditions & Hazards

Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with exposure to:

  • Temperatures: Extreme ranges from36°F(walk-in cooler) to90°F+(kitchen) and up to500°F (ovens).
  • Environment: Exposure to cornmeal dust, food fumes, cramped quarters, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Outdoors: Occasional exposure to adverse weather during trash removal or tasks outside the store.

Mental & Sensory Requirements

  • Sensing: Must have near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces. Must be able to hear and speak clearly on the telephone.
  • Temperament: Ability to direct activities, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, and make quick decisions while dealing with customers and crew.
