What you'll do It's an exciting time to join us as we build a new Trust & Safety platform.

As a Software Engineer for the Trust & Safety Platforms team, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining our anti-fraud intelligence platform, the "central nervous system" that empowers our operations analysts.

This platform is key to our shift from a reactive to a proactive security posture, enabling our team to quickly monitor external threats, disrupt bad actor operations, and empower users with self-service tools.

You will be instrumental in integrating diverse data sources and developing unique automation and integrations that accelerate the work of our Trust & Safety Operations Team.

Your contributions will directly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our efforts to protect our users, brand, and platform.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Trust & Safety.

Responsibility Design, develop, and maintain a full-stack Anti-Fraud Intelligence, action, platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability Design, build, and integrate secure, performant APIs with both internal systems and diverse external data/threat feeds Develop robust data pipelines for ingesting and processing data, and implement automated processes (e.g., takedowns) to enhance platform functionality Drive feature delivery end-to-end, from ideation and requirements gathering with Trust & Safety operations through to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code for microservices, and actively participate in the design and architecture of new services Own the health and reliability of deployed services, participate in the team's on-call rotation, and fix issues adhering to SLAs Work closely with Product Management and engineering teams to understand design requirements, provide development estimates, and identify opportunities for automation and integration Research new features and technologies to continuously improve reliability and platform performance Develop API’s to integrate data sources to and from Jira JSM or equivalent case management platform Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work.

Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job.

What you bring Basic 5+ years of professional software development experience, including a BS/BA degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience) Proven experience with a modern programming language (e.g., C#/.NET Core, Java, Python) and SQL Databases

Experience: building and maintaining APIs and developing single-page applications (SPAs)

Experience: with large-scale distributed systems, the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and writing maintainable, high-quality code Preferred

Experience: shipping highly available, scalable services on a Cloud Platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and managing CI/CD pipelines Deep experience with microservice architecture and complex system design

Experience: with NoSQL Databases (e.g., Cassandra, Cosmos DB) in addition to relational systems Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience: developing security or fraud detection platforms; knowledge of threat intelligence and data correlation Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical leadership skills (e.g., driving improvements and owning standards) Ability and desire to move across technology stacks and a passion for learning new software technologies
