What you'll do As an Engineering Manager in Docusign Identify, you will lead a cross-site team of software engineers responsible for building, releasing, and operating critical services and applications.

You’ll partner closely with product, architecture, security, and other engineering leaders to shape the roadmap, drive execution, and ensure engineering excellence across the full software development lifecycle.

You will own delivery outcomes, manage dependencies and risks, set clear goals, and develop a high-performing team through coaching, hiring, and performance management.

This role requires strong technical judgment, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibility Lead and develop a team of software engineers delivering services and applications within the product stack Translate business and product strategy into clear technical plans, milestones, and delivery commitments Drive engineering execution: planning, estimation, prioritization, and day-to-day delivery management Establish and evolve development practices, tooling, and technical standards (e.g., design reviews, coding standards, testing, release management) Ensure adherence to the product development process and software lifecycle practices, including quality, security, and reliability requirements Manage cross-team and cross-site dependencies, critical paths, and risks; ensure mitigation and contingency plans are in place Partner with stakeholders across product, security, SRE/operations, and other engineering teams to align on priorities and outcomes Support operational excellence (e.g., incident readiness, postmortems, reliability improvements) for services the team owns Hire, onboard, and retain talent; run performance reviews, compensation input, and career development planning Promote a collaborative culture, connect teams, and reduce organizational silos Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work.

Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job.

What you bring Basic 8+ years related experience Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Software engineering experience, including experience leading teams as a manager or technical lead Preferred Proficiency in C# or Java

Experience: with cloud-native deployment and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
