Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

  • Apply "hotfixes" to production code when business applications update; you'll manage version control to ensure that any changes made during support are documented and synced with the main development branch
  • Manage the virtual machines (VMs) where bots reside; this includes coordinating with IT for credential rotations, software patches, and ensuring the "digital workers" have the necessary permissions to access target systems
  • Analyze bot logs to identify patterns of inefficienc; you will suggest and implement logic improvements to reduce execution time and resource consumption
  • Act as the technical liaison between the business units and the RPA Center of Excellence (CoE), providing regular status reports on bot health, uptime, and successful transaction rates

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or Software Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with major RPA tools like Ui Path, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere and be proficient in using the platform's "Orchestrator" or "Control Room"
  • Certifications (e.g., Ui Path Certified Advanced RPA Developer) preferred
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs and JSON/XML data structures to troubleshoot integrations where the UI might be unstable

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries
  • Support engineers frequently need to dive into backend databases to validate that bots have processed data correctly or to troubleshoot data-related failures
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines (VMs), Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), and Active Directory. Knowledge of credential management (like Cyber Ark or Hashi Corp Vault) is essential for maintaining bot security
  • Strong understanding of .NET (C# or VB.NET), as most RPA tools are built on this framework
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript is highly valued for creating custom scripts to handle tasks the RPA tool cannot manage natively
