OVERVIEW:

The Associate Inventory Planner facilitates and implements Allocation and Inventory Movement strategies for clearance merchandise, promotional buys and other discount product for their responsible product categories. The execution of these strategies will be aligned to the merchandise plan and determine the effectiveness and productivity of the its inventory. The Associate Inventory Planer will ensure all new stores will open with the appropriate level and mix of product for the categories they are responsible.

Execute Allocation & Inventory Movement Strategies

  • Allocate inbound purchase orders of off-price opportunity buys
  • Split purchase orders to achieve optimal store level inventory integrity
  • Pull appropriate backstock quantities to maintain strong inventory productivity and in-stock measurements
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by store locations to support sales, margin and turn goals
  • Ensure new stores are set with appropriate level of inventory and monitor grand opening performance to ensure levels are maintained

Analysis & Discovery

  • Analyze and communicate product risks and opportunities whiling recommending and execution plan to re-balance product flow, as necessary
  • Create strong partnership with Value-Chain store operations to better respond (proactively and reactively) to store and productivity opportunities
  • Create ad-hoc analysis to react to current and future business environment and present findings to Merch & Inv Planning Manager, Buyers and Merchandise Planners

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Partner with Merchandise and Inventory Manager and Planners and Buyers to identify opportunities and action plans for merchandise allocation and inventory movement strategies
  • Collaborate with business partners throughout the organization from respective product categories to align on key inventory initiatives
  • Partner with Buyers on the determination and ultimate execution of the vision of at-once merchandise assortments
  • Build relationships cross functional focusing primarily with Store Operations and Supply Chain/Logistics to continuous improve and enhance the inventory flow model for the company’s value business
