OVERVIEW:

Summary Description

Provide paralegal support to the Legal Department on a variety of litigation-related legal matters, including employment, regulatory, risk management, real estate and other corporate matters. Assist attorneys in a variety of subject matter areas with all aspects of case management, including factual analysis and investigation, billing and status reports, document and information management, discovery, and pleadings. . Provide support on miscellaneous non-litigation related projects as needed. Display strong interpersonal skills to build relationships throughout the company and understand the different components of the business.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Investigate and manage smaller-scale disputes, including consumer complaints and single-plaintiff litigation.

Serve as primary support for intake and management of matters using Legal Tracker software; manage litigation holds using Legal Hold Pro.

Investigate and handle responses to subpoenas, including complex subpoenas, in a tight time frame.

Manage responses to discovery on all Legal Department matters, including use of Microsoft365 e-discovery software; serve as intermediary between outside counsel and internal clients to organize documents and information.

Assist with other legal issues and projects as necessary, including contract drafting and negotiations, regulatory guidance, general legal questions and other topics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5-7 years of experience in litigation support

  • Paralegal Certificate Preferred

  • Experience using case management and e-discovery software (Legal Hold Pro, Legal Tracker, Microsoft365)
