The Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of financial and analytical duties associated with store, brands and/or total company results.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of assigned components of the annual Company budget. Scope may include sales, gross profit, operating expenses, administrative expenses and capital expenditures.

  • Work with business partners to update the Company forecast. Analyze and proactively address forecast accuracy issues.

  • Analyze variances vs budget and historical results. Identify key drivers and trends.

Reporting/Monthly Close

  • Complete month-end closing activities which may include journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.

  • Compile, validate and summarize financial information submitted by other business areas.

  • Assist with management reporting in support of our financial close cycle and quarterly earnings announcements.

Financial Analysis

  • Support internal business units (e.g. Store Operations, Merchandising, IT, etc.) or the total Company from a Finance perspective. Assist with new business initiatives and process improvements.

  • Execute look-back analyses on business initiatives and effectively summarize findings.

  • Participate in special projects where a Finance perspective is required or requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree-MBA/CPA a plus

  • 5-7 Years of Experience

  • Prefer knowledge of MS Excel, People Soft Financials and Hyperion
