OVERVIEW:

As a Dick's Sporting Goods Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – Tech & e Commerce, you will be responsible for assisting the Category Sourcing Manager to define and implement optimal procurement strategies to ensure maximized value within IT & e Commerce categories. You will be responsible for overseeing (or leading) the Request For (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in accordance with Dick's Strategic Sourcing process, leading supplier negotiations, SOW creation, review and execution and building effective supplier relationships. This role will specifically focus on our Strategic External Labor Optimization plans with our preferred labor partners with overflow to general Tech and e Commerce RFI/RFP/RFQ matters as needed.

The Role You'll Play:

  • Work closely with business leaders and assist the Category Sourcing Manager to develop a comprehensive strategic procurement plan for Tec & e Commerce, focused on external labor spend. This includes identification and recommendation of optimal procurement strategies through analysis of current spend, contracts and supply base, analysis of supply markets and market trends and identification and understanding of key cost drivers within the external labor market. Including oversight and reporting related to labor specific KPI’s to support Technology leadership.
  • Oversee (or lead) the Request For (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process in accordance with Dick's Strategic Sourcing Process. This necessitates strong collaboration with business partners.
  • Lead fact-based supplier negotiations and progressive supplier relationship management activities. This includes development and execution of strategy and necessitates strong collaboration between business leaders and clear communication with suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively to facilitate the contract review and negotiation process.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the entire procurement team to identify areas of opportunity and change management through continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related Business Field
  • Five to seven years of experience
  • Data analytics, retail experience preferred, professional services and Managed Services Providers (MSP)
  • CPM/CPSM (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sourcing & procurement technology (Ariba or equivalent)
  • People Soft Financials or equivalent
  • Share Point proficiency preferred
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) example Beeline (a plus)
  • Prior experience within IT & e Commerce categories (retail a plus)
  • Advanced sourcing and procurement knowledge with pragmatism to manage expectations
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of legal contract terminology and general financial skills
  • Labor SOW Experience – Time & Materials (T&M), Fixed Fee (Fixed Bid) & Managed Services
  • Rate Card Experience and Shoring Optimization (Onshore, Nearshore & Offshore)
