The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing sales and margin forecasts, financial analysis and decision support for the e Commerce business. This includes diagnostics on performance, and strong collaboration with the e Commerce, Merchandising and Analytics teams.

Sales and Margin Forecast and Budget

  • Develop the daily merchandise sales and margin forecast leveraging trends, expectations for product launches, and promotional/clearance activity
  • Develop forecast and budget for shipping revenue
  • Analyze significant variances to forecast, determine drivers, and future implications
  • In conjunction with the e Comm business, develop the annual budget including drivers of planned sales & margin growth

Business Analytics and Reporting

  • Leverage our data warehouse to identify key performance drivers, marketing effectiveness, change in traffic sources and devices.
  • Monitor and diagnose any unforeseen gaps between Demand and Fulfilled sales
  • Non-Routine analytics on promotional events
  • Provide sales/margin data and insights for discussions with key stakeholders and business leaders (Monthly Business Review, PAR/Finance meeting)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Estimate value of e Commerce promotions/events for business planning and forecasting purposes, and completing post-mortem financial analysis of promotions/events
  • On a monthly basis, complete banner-level sales and margin reporting for pro forma banner-level financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree-MBA/CPA a plus

  • 5-7 Years of Experience

  • Prefer knowledge of MS Excel, People Soft Financials and Hyperion
