OVERVIEW:

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

PLAN OPTIMIZATIONBalance traditional hindsight analysis with Athlete-centered learnings from retail science teams to summarize risks and opportunities for assigned categories of business. Translate descriptive and predictive analytics into data-driven recommendations to reduce duplication within the assortment while optimizing assortment breadth. Become subject matter expert in breaking down the complex science of consumer behavior, transferable demand, and opportunity into actionable recommendations.

Effectively communicate analytical insights and recommendations to Merchandising Leadership & Buying Teams to showcase potential top-line growth to be gained by rebalancing assortment to meet Athlete needs.

Develop assortment targets by cluster that incorporate go-forward business strategies and align to financial targets, visual / space constraints, and location / cluster-based opportunities.

BUSINESS INSIGHTS ANALYSISLead the Merchandising teams through the evaluation and determination of assortment plan criteria and attributes, including store clustering, target setting and assortment rationalization.

Analyze, review, and identify assortment planning opportunities and reporting outputs for resolution with Merchants, influencing the team on targeted assortment changes to accomplish the optimum financial goals

POST LINE REVIEW SUPPORTProvide direct support to the Merchant teams for execution of the Product Line Review while maintaining effective targets. Develop post line review target and reporting updates for leadership teams based on changes in strategy or assortment decisions. Incorporate additional risk or opportunity assessment

Monitor ongoing business to support changes in assortment strategy in season, where possible, or through adjustments in future assortment optimization efforts.

PROJECT MANAGEMENTPartner with Manager to guide day-to-day priorities for team, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately for timely completion of all deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

A minimum of 3 years cross-functional retail merchandising experience required.

5-7 Year's related experience
