About the role:
You will handle and lead a team of professional employees and/or other people leaders

Requires a broad understanding of internal and industry standards and principles

Applies in-depth understanding of the business dynamics of how own area integrates within the Tequila Strategy

Accountable for mentoring, developing and the performance and results of teams

Allocates resources and executes department business plans according to the strategy

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for research departments, agricultural laboratories and geomatics.

  • Defines the technological package and agricultural practices that improve the quality and cost of agave by applying and developing sustainable practices

  • Be an influencing lead in industry specialized forums and global channels setting innovative standards and their business applications, seeking continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with global sustainability teams to define and implement projects in line with our 2030 vision

  • Responsible for the Regenerative Agriculture strategy both in internal execution and influencing the rest of the industry

  • Provides technical support to the agricultural operations team and advise on the resolution of issues in the field

  • Responsible for creating business cases and budget management for different projects in his area and once approved to execute them in a timely manner.

Experience / skills required:

  • Biotechnology or Agronomy Engineer or related career

  • 10 years of proven experience in global companies

  • 5 years of experience in agricultural research (Non-academic)

  • Influence and leadership Project Management

  • Business Acumen

  • People Management

  • Fluent English
