The Security Associate, working under direct supervision, is responsible for performing operational tasks of the Security Control Center utilizing detailed instructions and established policies & procedures. The role is responsible for safety and protection of company premises, associates and property from internal & external forces. The role is also responsible for responding and reacting to any emergency situation immediately. The role undertakes the surveillance of company premises and protection of the staff and visitors. The role is responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.

  • Performs operational tasks of the Security Control Center while maintaining safe work environment in line with organization's policies and procedures. Conducts security inspections of the organization's facilities to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Assists with the smooth operations of security posts and executes facility & grounds patrols as required.
  • Monitors incoming security telephone calls from within the organization and relays message to supervisor / senior security personnel.
  • Assists with the entry and retrieval of data utilizing the organizations security management systems, global monitoring systems, and contract security.
  • Assists in the smooth operation of security posts and shift operations of the contract security guard force.
  • Assists in keeping an accurate log of events and occurrences based on security guidelines while performing basic office duties.
  • Assists in providing security protection by utilizing and monitoring the organizations access control systems, electronic surveillance systems, and other monitoring devices.
  • Acts as first point of contact for situations involving security needs, medical services, crisis hotlines, and other issues that may arise where a central point of contact is needed to represent the security department until a supervisor and/or appropriate personnel have arrived on scene.
  • Completes vehicle inspections for weapons, explosives, or dangerous items prior to allowing entry.

Schedule:

  • Night Shift
  • Monday through Friday 10pm-6am

Education:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education is required. Bachelor's Degree in Security Management or any other related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Security Operations, Law Enforcement, Military or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Armed Security Guard – CLEET (required)• Hold and continue to meet the requirements for the applicable state, county, and municipal license for security officers
