Work you'll do

  • As a Senior Manager, you will work within our Tax
  • Business Tax Services (BTS) Operate team which is responsible for digital transformation of our tax practice, as well as support for client transformations technology. You will collaborate across the team driving key projects to transform our global business and our clients' businesses. You will own the project(s) including: driving teams to meet defined milestones and deliverables, development and management of a work plan, managing program status, risk and issue reporting, managing project scope, governance and stakeholder engagement, and vendor management. Detail responsibilities include:
  • Manage day-to-day project delivery to ensure outcomes are met within scope, budget, timeline, and resources, escalating to the Program Lead as needed.
  • Drive effective implementation by partnering with key stakeholders, aligning work across client and internal delivery teams, and managing interdependencies.
  • Own the integrated workplan, track milestone progress, and anticipate/adapt to changes impacting delivery.
  • Lead status and management reporting, providing clear updates to stakeholders and Program leadership.
  • Manage governance, risks, and issues-ensuring stakeholder engagement, timely escalation, and mitigation of material impacts.

The Team: At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Tax BTS Operate practice helps large multinational clients design and implement an operating model that helps them accomplish their future vision. Our consultants help transition, set-up technology, run labs, and streamline business operations while managing the scalability, risks, and costs of outsourcing engagements.

Qualifications- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week

  • 8+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent in law firms or industry
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained:
  • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

  • Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business, and a solid reputation as a subject matter expert within federal tax

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Preferred

  • Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM

  • Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience

  • Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment

  • Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new technology solutions

  • Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance to ASC740

  • Excellent research and writing skills

  • Excellent presentation and communications skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,960 to $285,740.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
