Work You’ll Do:

As a Summer Scholar in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and build your individual brand within the organization. This person should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings.

Business and Finance Technology Summer Scholar

• This Summer Scholar is responsible for supporting stakeholders through financial and non-financial accounting and reporting challenges with the goal of modernizing and enhancing accounting capabilities; ensuring an effective internal control environment for compliance and accurate financial information to support decision-making and financial reporting. Involves the integration of advanced technologies, innovative processes, and data analytics in the field of accounting. Also includes the use of software, systems, and platforms to automate routine tasks, manage financial data, and improve efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
• Majors: Business IT, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, Systems Engineering

Required Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree with a target graduation date by Spring/Summer 2027 in these or related areas of study:

• Business IT, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, Systems Engineering

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

• Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required, 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred)

• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

• Must live within a commutable distance to your assigned office (e.g. 100-mile radius) with the ability to commute daily, if required, upon start date

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $38/hour.
