Power Principal Engineer (Server)

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve As a Power Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for ISG (Infrastructure Solution Group) Power solution development and being a Subject Matter Expert for power related engagement in power technology internally and externally. You will work with platform teams and different function teams on Power technology/topology, Power supply development, issue triage and power technical related application support.
You will:

  • Manage Power solution development to Support System development needs and requirements

  • Engage Technology partners on Proof of Concept, power application and technology trend to gain the leading edge advantage to build world-class power solution.

  • Work with Architecture/concept team on Power Supply feature development and definition.

  • Provide support as PSU Subject Matter Expert to support cross function engagement.

  • Good knowledge of Electrical/Electronics Engineering in analog and digital circuitry design in Power application related field, experience of using CAD and simulation tool such as MATLAB, SPICE and allegro will be plus.

  • Good Knowledge in embedded system design using micro-controllers, analog and digital system design; and knowledge of the scripting language like C/C++, Assembly, Python, Labview, and/or Linux programing.

  • Good communication and presentation skills in English

  • Familiarity of Power topology, component applications such as semi-conductors and magnetic applications. Experienced on dealing with relevant regulatory requirement and be capable of working with others on system related Power solution issues.

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering. Master or above will be plus.

Desirable Requirements

  • Candidate needs to have 10 years working experiences in power related design

  • Good program management capability and be willing to collaborate with others.
