Principal Engineer, Solutions Architect

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will design, implement, and optimize enterprise‑grade NAS and storage solutions across global customer environments. You will work with cross‑functional and customer teams to deliver high‑performance architectures, lead complex migrations, and provide expert technical direction across critical engagements.

What you'll achieve

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and delivering complex end-to-end infrastructure architectures. You will work with cross-functional teams and strategic customers on high-impact solution design, performance engineering, and architectural leadership.

You will:

  • Architect, deploy, and optimize large‑scale NAS and storage solutions across Net App, Dell Isilon/Power Scale, and Dell Unity platforms.

  • Translate customer business and technical requirements into resilient, scalable infrastructure designs.

  • Provide end‑to‑end implementation support, configuration, performance tuning, and operational guidance for NAS and file services.

  • Execute complex data migrations using Dell and multi‑vendor tools (Data Dobi, Rsync, EMCopy).

  • Perform upgrades, lifecycle operations, remediation, and best‑practice-driven improvements.

  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for critical NAS and storage issues.

  • Collaborate across Sales, Delivery, Support, and Engineering teams.

Essential Requirements

  • 10–12 years of relevant hands-on experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years with a Master's degree.

  • Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting Isilon/Power Scale, Net App, and Unity systems.

  • Proficiency with file migration tools: Data Dobi, SyncIQ, Rsync, EMCopy.

  • Knowledge of POSIX permissions, Windows ACLs, SMB/NTFS, NFS exports, and network fundamentals.

  • Strong active listening and communication skills, with the capability to distill complex technical issues into clear, executive‑level insights

  • Willingness to work in the Americas shift.

Desirable Requirements

  • Dell Technologies Proven Professional certifications.

  • Experience with Power Scale 9.13 or later.

  • Experience supporting North America enterprise customers.
