What you’ll achieve As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you will design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and prepare studies and analyses of existing systems.

You will:

• Perform the measurement and analysis of subsystem performance for Dell products, with an emphasis on the server subsystem: processor configurations, chipsets, memory subsystems.

• Perform targeted studies to obtain optimal performance of a given solution (hardware and software configuration)

• Isolate issues (bottlenecks) in the solution and obtain assistance from peers, or internal/external teams to eliminate or mitigate these bottlenecks

• Maintain a broad knowledge of performance bottlenecks and potential performance impacts on the various benchmarks being tracked by the performance team

• Work with the performance architects to provide raw data to facilitate performance predictions on new products.

• Expertise in atleast one of the benchmarks

• SPECCPU, SPECPower, VMMark, SPECVirt, MLPerf

• 5 to 8 years of related experience

• Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures

• Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues

• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup

• Desirable Requirements•Bachelor’s degree

• Capability to influence others to achieve results
