As Manager, People Analytics Data Platform, you’ll lead the team responsible for building scalable, self-service tools that power our people data foundation, including data pipelines and modeling, data governance, BI tools and dashboards, and AI strategy. You’ll work closely with People leaders, People Tech partners, security teams, and central data teams to ensure that Datadog’s people data is accurate, trusted, well-modeled, and easy to use.

  • Define and drive the data platform roadmap spanning reporting tooling, data modeling, governance, pipeline automation, access/security, and AI-enabled analytics.

  • Own the architecture and development of data pipelines and models in tools such as dbt and Snowflake, powering analytics across the employee lifecycle (e.g., recruiting, performance, employee surveys, learning and development).

  • Lead the migration to a unified people analytics reporting and dashboarding environment—including vendor evaluation, row-based security testing, and integration of AI capabilities into the reporting stack.

  • Oversee data governance practices including data quality monitoring and alerting, metric standardization, cataloging, and documentation, and data access policies and security (role-based or row/column-level permissions) for sensitive data.

  • Lead the development of secure AI-powered people analytics tools, natural-language querying interfaces, and scalable self-service data products for People and business leaders.

  • Partner with People Leadership & Business Partners, People Tech, Recruiting, Finance, and central analytics teams to ensure the people data ecosystem supports business needs.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data platform management, or similar fields, including 2+ years leading or mentoring technical teams.

  • 2-5 years experience managing technical analysts, coaching their performance, guiding their career journey, and breaking work into achievable projects and tasks
