This position is part of the Equipment Services department located in Leuven and will be onsite, working in the night shift (9.45pm-6.15am). At IDT, we are one global team. Together, we accomplish great things.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform preventive and unplanned maintenance on standard and custom build automated laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate events with Lab Technicians, work with team members as well as individually to ensure preventative and unplanned maintenance is completed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidics and optical devices/systems as well as PLC controlled systems.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or maintenance related program or equivalent technical education or experience.
• 2 years of related technical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidic, optical devices/systems, control systems and other equipment.
• Having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and processes.
• Reading, writing and speaking English fluently. Additional knowledge of Dutch is preferred.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working in a regulated environment
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications.
