About the Role

The Technical Writer II is responsible for authoring and developing documentation for internal and external customers within the service organization. This position reports to the Technical Publications Manager located in Loveland, CO and is part of the Service Organization located in Suzhou, China and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design, develop format, implement and manage technical writing and content creation
  • Ensure documentation meets the demands for the production of labeling documents, manuals, testing procedures and operational specifications
  • Create and maintain documentation and illustration for hardware and software user's guides, service and programming manuals and electronic media including on-line help

Qualifications

Functional Knowledge 职能知识

  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities

Business Expertise 业务专业知识

  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
  • Experience authoring in Adobe Frame Maker 9.x.x or above for Windows, with structured Frame Maker 9.0 (XML) or Madcap Flare preferred
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Word, Power

Point and Excel:

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in managing translation projects and content management systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in XML, DITA, and localization

Leadership 领导力

  • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members

  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents

  • Bachelor's degree in field with 2+ years exp. OR
  • Master's degree in field with 0-2 years exp. OR
