The Service Instructional Designer is responsible for designing the learning activities and content for our IT and Automation platforms within our service organization and driving the service training approach for assigned content development projects.

This position reports to the Global Service Training Design Manager and is part of the Global Service Training Design Team located in United Kingdom will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Develop engaging, task-based content where the learner frequently interacts with the materials.

• Work in cross-functional teams with global Automation SMEs, Digital Solutions and stakeholders to develop content collaboratively, with precision, speed, and transparency.

• Create or leverage existing media assets, perform image/graphics manipulation/optimization, and modify design layouts to suit the content.

Who you are:

• Bachelors in Instructional Design/Development/IT and Automation or equivalent experience using adult learning principles, methods, theories, and techniques for global audiences + 3 years of experience.

• Mastery of standard content development tools including Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, Camtasia, Captivate, and at least one online presentation tool (for example: Web Ex, Zoom, Adobe Connect, etc.).

• Self-starter with an enthusiastic and proactive style. Prior success working with cross-functional and virtual teams.

• Ability to comprehend technical product training content.

• Motivated by challenges, with proven record of delivering quality work on time.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability to travel 25% of the time to global locations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience designing or delivering training for Life Sciences automation systems, control platforms, or digital service tools, including simulators and automation software.

• Background conducting technical learning needs analysis and building competency‑based curricula for IT, digital platforms, or automation workflows.

• Ability to partner with IT/Automation SMEs to translate complex system architectures, product updates, and digital workflows into clear, scalable training solutions.
