The Sr. Data Apps Engineer is responsible for Design and development of Data Applications and frameworks along with user interface and API development. Critical Data Applications/Frameworks and managing API’s  for Cepheid Data Platform which will support organization wide data and decision making applications. The role have significant growth Opportunity in this organization.

This position is part of the Data and Analytics in Enterprise Data Trasformation AI/ML Organization and will be located in Bengaluru, India. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

·       Design, develop, and deploy full-stack Data/AI Applications for data visualization and AI-powered insights using ReactJS, NodeJS, and Streamlit.

·       Build and maintain robust APIs and microservices using Flask, FastAPI, and other Python frameworks to support scalable data pipelines and machine learning workflows.

·       Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, product managers, and DevOps/MLOps teams to deliver high-performance, user-centric solutions that bridge data engineering and application development.

The essential requirements of the job include: ·       5 years of experience in full-stack development with strong proficiency in JavaScript (ReactJS, NodeJS) and Python (Flask, FastAPI).

·       Proven ability to architect and implement scalable web applications that integrate with data platforms and machine learning models.

·       Deep understanding of RESTful API design, asynchronous programming, and secure data handling practices.

·       Experience with deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and using CI/CD pipelines.

·       Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

·       Building interactive dashboards or data apps using Streamlit, Dash, or similar frameworks.

·       Working with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Working with Vector embeddings on RAG based applications.

·       Integrating AI/ML models into production-grade applications using tools like Tensor Flow, Py Torch, or scikit-learn.
