About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer is a critical role in maintaining the smooth running of processes needed to supply our customers. This is an exciting role that interacts with many other functions within the organization.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting specific areas, being an active member of the wider ME team, taking part in Kaizen events, troubleshooting equipment, and liaising with maintenance and other teams to find solutions to day-to-day challenges.

The manufacturing engineer is expected to solve daily tactical problems and work on strategic activities for continuous improvements.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace BU in Redruth, Cornwall. You will work with the Manufacturing Engineering team in support of manufacturing operations. You will be part of a team of 13 other MEs, each with their own area of responsibility.

Essential Requirements

  • BEng, HNC, or HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Advanced user of CAD and office applications
  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or relevant Engineering industry
  • Experience in hydraulics and assembly
  • Ability to evaluate manufacturing processes utilizing lean tools and practices
  • People leadership experience
  • Ability to assess machine requirements and liaise with equipment suppliers
  • Experience with FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, and PFMEA

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with SAP data entry and routing maintenance
  • Lean Six Sigma trained
  • Exposure, understanding, and implementation of modern manufacturing assembly systems, MES, Industry 4.0, instrumentation, and control
